![]() Now restart Samsung Messages and right up front it should ask you if you want to use advanced messaging or something like that. I know that's a really boring story but it is so infuriating and senseless! I need an answer! And a fix!!! Is it by design for some reason of which I am totally unaware or is it just a glitch? If anyone knows the answer or knows how to fix this I'd be so very grateful. 1 Solution bill-e Samsung Care Ambassador Options 08-02-2021 07:39 PM in Galaxy S21 Go to Settings->Apps->Samsung Messages->Storage-> and delete the data. Note: For message requests, read receipts are only enabled once the. By the time I went to check to see if she'd read the message it was 3pm and it still just said "delivered", which is when I phoned her assuming she hadn't got the message at all but she told me she'd read it first thing in the morning. The recipient has opened (presumably read) your message. This is because Clear is essentially the same thing as what a Mark as Read button doesit not only gets rid of the notification, but it tells your phone (and thus their phone) that you the message is read, even if you didn’t actually open up the Messages app and fully access the conversation thread. I find it infuriating!!! For a while I wondered if I was mad and had imagined seeing the receipts, and then I bugged all my friends and family members with iPhones by making them double check their read receipt settings were right. ![]() Thank you, THANK YOU for so explicitly detailing this problem.
